Do You Know the Edison of Korea?
Do you know who is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the winner that won the most awards of invention?
It is Shin Suk Hyun, the president of the Korean Invention Society.
(His ideas have won him more than 200 international invention prizes and medals.)
He is also known as the “Edison of Kores”.
He invented a milk carton, a radio hat, an umbrella with a window, a bio-rhythm program and so on.
Although he studied Russian in college, he furthered his study in mechanical engineering.
He has always been passionate about invention and, even at the age of 90, he still works on his ideas from 6am to 11pm.
He records his dreams and ideas in a diary in 6 different languages.
He says, “an inventor has to be curious and feel happy than he didn’t give up inventing something than did not exist in the world.”
If you take an interest in your surroundings, record every day, learn and are absorbed in them, you may become the next Edison.
